Music is a spiritual and prayerful pathway to God. Traditionally, Christians have understood singing as praying twice. Congregational singing goes back to Jesus and his disciples at the Last Supper. We also have the appearance of Christian songs in the scriptures—the Psalms, John 1:1-18, Philippians 2:6-11, The Magnificat in Luke 1:68-79, and others. We like to think that we continue the ministry of the angels at Christmas who proclaimed the birth of Jesus to simple shepherds and sang praises to God.
Here at MCCUCCV, there are many opportunities to bring your musical talent to our worship. If you play an instrument or sing, join us for our worship and share your gifts with us. Our music ranges from traditional Christian hymns, pipe organ music, to contemporary Christian praise songs, and appropriate secular music.
